The development of the varicose veins

by admin on August 16, 2012

Usually the veins contain valves that aide in the prevention of flowing back of blood in the process of it moving upwards in the legs. However when you experience the varicose veins, the valves are weakened and they stop functioning effectively. What then happens? The blood flows backwards and leaks into your veins. The leaked blood is then collected here. When this blood has been collected at the veins the next thing that happens is that the veins are stretched outwards in order to accommodate the excess amount of blood that wants to settle. In the end the veins becomes varicose. That then is how the varicose comes about.
